Tutoring the Teens class at Southland Education, Carmen brings a wealth of experience using Soft Pastels and Acrylic Painting. Working from her home studio in beautiful Otatara, where she tutors individual students, you will find a selection of original artworks and commissions she creates in Pastels, Pencils, Acrylics, and occasionally other media. Her awards include the Commended Artist Award during the Positively Pastels exhibition at City Gallery, the Southern Pastel Artists SBS Bank Scholarship Award and her work and studio has featured in The New Zealand Artist Magazine. Her love for animals and charitable organisations led her to share her work for the PAWS for Charity campaign, raising funds for an animal shelter in Nova Scotia.
